  10. On 1/27/95 a posting indicated an intended boycott of the Whitehouse 
  11. Forum on Compuserve by our brothers embattled there.
  12.  
  13. I urge all members of Compuserve, indeed, all patriots everywhere, to 
  14. enter the fray - do not boycott -- show the Whitehouse Forum the 
  15. strength of our numbers and demonstrate the strength of truth contained 
  16. in the absolute intent of our Founding Fathers in their drafting of the
  17. Second Amendment.

  19. Do your research and argue your points with valid Constitutional Law 
  20. interpretations.  Everyone should read 'That Every Man Be Armed' by 
  21. Stephen P. Halbrook published by the Independent Institute, 134 98th. 
  22. Ave., Oakland, CA  94603.  This book is available through NRA 
  23. publications request.  We all must educate ourselves to the truth and 
  24. use that information to combat the ignorance of those who would allow 
  25. governments to dictate what freedoms we may enjoy.

  27. As a beginning, here is some ammunition for the fight:

  29. A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the
  30. security of a free State, the right of the people
  31. to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

  35. For those who would argue the above is subject to interpretation as to 
  36. who/what constitutes the Militia, I offer the following evidence of 
  37. intent by those who were most intimately involved in
  38. drafting the 2nd. Amendment;  and of those who have made serious 
  39. interpretive decisions based upon well informed Constitutional Law.

  42. PROTECTION OF RECREATIONAL HUNTERS' RIGHTS -- PLEASE READ ON ....

  72. The right of a citizen to bear arms, in lawful
  73. defense of himself or the State, is absolute.  He
  74. does not derive it from the State government.
  75. It is one of the 'High Powers' delegated directly
  76. to the citizen by the United States Constitution,
  77. Amendment II, and "is excepted out of the
  78. general powers of government".  A law cannot
  79. be passed to infringe upon it or impair it,
  80. because it is above the law, and independent of
  81. the law-making power.

  118. wishes.  Congress has no power to disarm the Militia.  Their swords,
  119. and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birth-right 
  120. of an American.  The unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of
  121. either the Federal or State governments, but, where I trust in God it
  122. will ever remain, in the hands of the people."

  146. support of them are "radical gun nuts" or "extremist", etc., etc., ad 
  147. infinitum;  they must be categorized as falling into one of
  148. the following categories:

  150. 1)  Ignorant beyond belief of the history of governmental abuse against 
  151. the common populace of nations.
  152.  
  153. 2)  Have an agenda to destroy the freedoms upon which this Nation was 
  154. founded;  therefore must be considered enemies of the United States of 
  155. America.

  157. 3)  Uninformed and perhaps intelligent enough to exercise a change of 
  158. mind after having objectively considered these issues.
